The idea behind VAMA Gears was born on a day gold prices touched ₹1 lakh per 10 grams. It was my brother’s wedding, and like many Indian families, ours was struggling to buy wedding jewellery within a limited budget. That moment sparked a thought — what does the future of real jewellery look like? Will people move to imitation pieces because gold and diamonds are now unaffordable? But growing up — and later getting married — in a Marwari family, I knew one thing for certain: real jewellery can never be replaced. It carries emotion, tradition, and value that no imitation ever could.

That’s how VAMA Gears was born — to make real jewellery accessible to everyone. Vertika Singhal

Vertika Singhal is an alumunus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) with a background in digital marketing and growth strategy. Before founding VAMA Gears, she worked with technology and consumer brands, gaining a deep understanding of how people connect with value, trust, and authenticity.

Rooted in a Marwari family where jewellery carries emotional heritage, Vertika envisioned VAMA Gears as a way to bring real craftsmanship within reach of modern women. Her approach combines business insight with cultural empathy — building a brand that honours Jaipur’s artistry while making real Polki jewellery accessible, timeless, and meaningful.
